Spartans’ 220-pounder Darryl Aiello captures 3rd straight North Coast Section title; DLS wins team championship by 150 points.
UNION CITY – De La Salle High’s Darryl Aiello achieved the rare feat Sat of winning a 3rd straight North Coast Section individual wrestling title.
But the senior made his upcoming goal clear after defeating Ukiah’s Dylan Miles 16-5 in the 220-pound championship match at James Logan.
“A lot of hard work went into this win,” commented Aiello, who also won NCS 220-pound titles in 2015 and 2016. “I’ve got one goal right now – to be state champion.”
“My shots were really strong,” stated Parco, a sophomore. “My stand-up game was good.”
